According to a new study in Pediatrics Journal, there’s such a thing as third hand smoke and it can cause harm even long after the smoking has stopped. Tobacco particles cling to surface areas that are later inhaled, touched and even put into our mouths. These studies show that just being in a room where cigarettes were once lit can have the same effects as exposure to low levels of lead. And, just like with lead the higher the exposure level the lower the reading score. In other words, smoking impairs your brain and those around you. But this is not a stop smoking campaign, just some info about the world of smoking. Do as you please with it.

Chip Saltsman, a candidate for the Republican National Committee sent a Christmas CD mix to committee members that included the song ‘Barack the Magic Negro’. This song was made after cultural critic David Ehrenstein wrote the column, ‘Obama the Magic Negro’ in the Los Angeles Times. According to Ehrenstein, “It describes a folk figure who assuages white guilt over historical mistreatment of African-Americans in the U.S., swapping one black male stereotype with another.” Chip Saltsman who sent the CD said the song is a joke at Ehrenstein’s expense.

What you see in the picture above is an electric car. Electric cars provide a great alternative to using gas but one of the main concerns about these cars is how they can be charged. A California company called Coulomb Technologies suggests Smartlets. Smartlets as shown above allows people to charge their cars where they park. While this idea would be great in a perfect world, can you imagine trying to find a functional car charger on a public street? The people who dreamed up this idea must not be from New York. Am I bugging? What do you think?
