Jennifer Hudson Is Back!

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

Jennifer Hudson is back at work. The four-time Grammy nominee shot a video for her second single “If This Isn’t Love” in Los Angeles (live performance below). The video will debut the week of February 9. J-Hud will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” at this Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIII on NBC. I’m looking forward to seeing her this Sunday. What doesn’t kill you certainly makes you stronger. I think it will be refereshing for her to be around the fans showing her love.

The Craziness: Man Throws Daughter Off Bridge

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

I know times are hard for just about everyone right now…but why do the kids have to be punished for it?  This story is crazy…take a look:

An Australian man tossed his 4-year-old daughter off a bridge in front of the girl’s two young brothers in Melbourne today as scores of terrified motorists looked on in horror, authorities said.

Arthur Phillip Freeman, 35, suddenly stopped his family car – with his two young sons inside – and, with young Darcey Iris in his arms, walked to the railing of the West Gate Bridge and dropped her 190 feet into the murky waters below.

Shocked drivers who saw the tragic incident, which occurred during the morning rush hour at about 9 a.m., immediately called police as Freeman got back in his Land Cruiser and drove off, according to The Australian newspaper.

Whether we agree with the war or not, we have to appreciate the efforts of our troops. I thought this was pretty cool. Check it out.

John Mayer and Queen Latifah pose with Elmo and Rosita to promote the upcoming PBS primetime special, “Coming Home: Military Families Cope With Change.”

This half-hour HD special tells stories of service members who return home with injuries, visible and invisible, and explores the heroic struggles their families face in discovering a new way of finding a “new normal.”

Keyshia Cole Can’t Perform For Mary

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

It just don’t make sense but word around town is Mary J. Blige’s manager Kendu straight up rejected BETs plans to have Keyshia Cole sing along with Anita Baker in a tribute to Mary J. Blige for the 2009 BET Honors Event.

Anita Baker still did her tribute but Kendu was not havin none of that Keyshia Cole business.  Stating Keyshia and Mary already have too many comparisons between them and they don’t need any of that for this event.  So, Monica was asked to take Keyshia’s place instead…the wackness.  Love Monica but that would have been a great performance.
