Via The New York Daily News – “American Idol” star Fantasia Barrino was rushed to a North Carolina hospital Monday for a “medication overdose” in the wake of a home-wrecking scandal, her agent told TMZ.com.

Barrino was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville just before 9 p.m., the celebrity news site reported.

It was unclear whether the OD was intentional or an accident, but her condition was not life threatening.

The report comes a day after the star’s denials that she came between Antwaun Cook, a married man she met at a T-Mobile store, and his wife.

Cook’s wife Paula filed for divorce last week, claiming Barrino and her husband had engaged in a “covert adulterous affair” and made multiple sex tapes together
