Chris Brown House Graffiti: Is He Being Targeted By Racist Neighbors Or Is It Really Scary?

chris-brown-home-targeted-jemblog-dot-comSinger Chris Brown is in total disagreement with his neighbors about his expressive graffiti art on his house. His neighbors are saying that the spray painted monsters on his house are scaring the local children. Really? Are the monsters scaring the children or the parents?

Hollywood Dell Civic Association told the Los Angeles Times that it was the neighbors complaints that caused an LA official to fine Brown $376 for the disturbing masterpieces.

Brown says that his monster art is no scarier than what children are seeing in the popular mainstream. He tweeted, “There are scarier creatures on Harry Potter Get a f__king life.”

The Hollywood Dell Civic Association told the paper. “There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they’re literally frightened. It’s like devils on the wall — big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we’re used to. “

Brown now has a little under 30 days to remove the art. Under the city’s ordinance, it is illegal to create murals on private properties. Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, is fighting the accusation, claiming that the city is completely avoiding Brown’s first amendment rights. But is the graffiti the real issue, or is Brown being hated on because he is a young black man with lots of money, living in a lily white neighborhood?

Brown just recently ended his on-again-off-again relationship with Rihanna, saying that he was too young to settle down, at this point. Maybe the graffiti explosion is a result of him celebrating his new found freedom from women and just his way of releasing stress.
