McDonald’s Profits Soar As Economy Fails

January 27th, 2009

McDonald’s reports that their net profit for 2008 soared 80 percent from a year ago.  They say the financial boom is partially due to consumers seeking low-cost meals in a deepening global recession.

Their net profit for the year totaled 4.3 billion dollars, compared to 2.3 billion in 2007.  Of these increases in customers and sales, the United States contributed to 4.0 percent, Europe 8.5 percent and Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa 9.0 percent.

Funny about the whole people seeking low-cost meals at Mc Donald’s.  I think they are over priced for the crap they are selling…leaving you hungry within minutes of eating.
